The short story: I'm back. The slightly longer story: for the last few years, I have been working on developing a tabletop game of my own, and only now have I felt that it was good enough to share - at least in a form strong enough to playtest. It's called Pendant World , and it is an urban fantasy skirmish game that draws heavily on real-world scary stories and mythologies to construct its own mythos. Picking the right moment to wield your magic and monstrous creatures is actually important, mechanically speaking, because the table is littered with innocent bystanders who were just out for a night on the town (or whatever), and any overt manifestations are going to send them scrambling for cover - and for their smartphone cameras.
