The Pen of Penemue

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd give you all a teaser to the second character of The Human Edge.  Enjoy! --- It was the mere husk of a city.   Everywhere, rubble lay underfoot with buildings still sometimes collapsing in on themselves.   The charred remains of vehicles littered the street like disorderly tombstones, reminders that humans might have once lived here.   In all other times, in all other places, the cause of this destruction might have gone nameless, unknown. Here, however, the destruction had a name.   Its name was Aristeia. The power-armoured man squeezed off a shot, and Rezia barely managed to whip herself out of the way.   Her back hit the wall as she whirled around the corner, and only milliseconds later the double-action round exploded where she had been standing.

VI Antonio stepped into the data crypt, his heart beating away at the inside of his ribs.  At long last, here he was, with Francesca's life within reach.  Even his inevitable death at Huang’s hands didn’t matter, because the cold walls of the secure data storage assured him that everything would be alright.  Francesca would live again.

I know that I neglected (read: failed) to do a model review last month, but hopefully that won't happen again.  I also know that I may seem a bit judgemental this month, but in my defence, nothing particularly exciting (besides maybe the Devas) was released.  As always, enjoy and feel free to disagree!

V Antonio loaded the ceramic firearm and tucked it under his jacket.  Klaus sucked in a deep breath and swore.

As school is winding down, I find that I have a little more time this week.  You can expect a model review by Wednesday night, and the next installment of The Human Edge by Friday night! Phew.  Now to keep my promises...
